Description: The Capacité d’Engagement Multi Plates-Formes (CEMP) or Multi-Platform Engagement Capability is the French counterpart to Raytheon's CEC. CEMP will provide airborne and sea French platforms cooperative engagement capability against potential threats.
Despite it is being designed to meet specifically the requirements of the French Navy CEMP could be tailored for the remaining French military services.
French DGA (Defense Procurement Agency) awarded a €21 million ($26 million) developmental contract to DCN in February 2004. CEMP along with SIC 21 communications system will revamp the French Navy through the network centric warfare architecture (digitized battlespace).
