Description: The Scorpion is a radar electronic countermeasures (ECM) designed by Thales for ship's self-protection and area defense protection battle groups. The Scorpion 2 variant has been designed to defeat modern anti-ship missiles by jamming long-range search, target acquisition and missile guidance radars operating in both search and locked-on modes. Thales Scorpion ECM can be integrated aboard small and large surface ships and in conjunction with Thales Sealion and Vigile electronic support measures (ESM). Basically, the ESM systems provide the radar emitter location and bearing data to Scorpion jamming system.
