Description: The Shipboard AN/SPQ-11 Cobra Judy radar system provides early warning against ballistic missiles for US intelligence and strategic defense agencies. It monitors and collects exoatmospheric and endoatmospheric data on ballistic missile tests complementing the Cobra Dane radar system.

The Cobra Judy radar system consists of an S-band phased array radar and X-band dish radar. It was installed in the early 1980s on the USNS Observation Island.
