Description: MFS 7000 is a medium-frequency, hull-mounted, multifunction sonar system developed by Ultra Electronics and EDO Corporation for the Royal Navy's Type 45 destroyer program. BAE Systems, Type 45 prime contractor, awarded the procurement contract in January 2002 encompassing the production and delivery of six MFS 7000 sonar arrays.
