Description: The NAJIR MM is a gyrostabilized, multi-mission, long-range, day-night electro-optic naval fire control system against sea and air targets. It is characterized by modular architecture and is designed to operate autonomously or integrated in a combat system. The NAJIR MM system includes a ballistic computer to support high-precision shooting. Sagem Defense Securite developed this advanced passive sensor based on PANDA, LYNX, NAJIR Mk1, NAJIR Mk2 and NAJIR 2000 ship-borne sensors. The French Navy has selected the NAJIR MM camera for its FREMM-class frigates.

The NAJIR MM sensor suite includes 384x288 pixel resolution cooled infrared (IR) camera with 2.5- and 9-degree field of views (FOVs), a laser rangefinder ranging from 50 meters to 40 kilometers, and 765x581 pixel resolution daylight camera with the same FOVs of the IR camera. The mount covers -30-degree to +80-degree in elevation and 360-degree in azimuth. The NAJIR MM sensor can detect patrol boats at ranges of up to 17 km and corvette-sized targets at ranges of up to 20 km. Airborne targets such as fighter aircraft can be detected at ranges of up to 16 km.
