Description: The Sirius is a compact and lightweight advanced, ECM-resistant, local area, passive missile warning system suitable for ship self-defense applications. It provides horizon search and warning against supersonic and subsonic sea-skimming missiles and surface threats utilizing medium-wave (MWIR) and long-wave infrared (LWIR) bispectral long-range, high resolution surveillance technology developed by Thales. Fully automatic detection, tracking and alert generation as well as threat priority ranking are built-in functions for the Sirius system. The Sirius warning system can be integrated into a larger ship-based multi-sensor detection and fire control system.
