Description: The Deep Space Gateway is a lunar orbital international station promoted jointly between NASA and Roscosmos on behalf of the United States of America (USA) and the Russian Federation respectively. The first module of the new Moon orbital space station may be put into orbit in the 2024-2026 timeframe. The station may include three different types of modules along with docking technologies for multiple spaceships. The technologies to be developed for this program may be eventually used on the exploration of the surface of the Moon and Mars. The USA and Russia agreed on this new space exploration project on September 27, 2017. The Deep Space Gateway project is open for collaboration with other countries such as the European Union (EU), China, India and Brazil.
