Description: The Kuaizhou-31 (KZ-31) is a heavyweight space launch rocket being developed by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC). The first KZ-31 rocket is expected to lift-off by 2030 fueled by solid propellant. The KZ-31 is expected to carry a payload of up to 70 tons into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) with the option of placing lighter payloads into higher orbits. The KZ-31 may leverage the design of the lighter KZ-21 rocket also being developed by CASIC and Expace.
