Description: The Mayak is a family of space launch system being developed by National Space Center of Ukraine, Yushnoye design bureau and Yushmash machine-building plant for the global launch services market. The projected family members are based on a modular design with tandem rockets and multiple stages with the option to add strapon rocket boosters enabling greater payloads. Employing a mixture of oxygen and kerosene liquid fuel, these vehicles will lift-off with a mass ranging from 130 to 320 tons. The Mayak space launch vehicle family leverages existing and under development space technologies and is influenced by current Zenit and Cyclone rockets.

The Mayak-22 has a greater diameter and length than basic Mayak-12. It retains the two stages and has a maximum lift-off mass of 250t.
