Description: The Safir-2 is a two-stage, liquid propellant, space launch system designed and built in Iran as part of its space program. The Safir-2 space launch systems are key for Iran to deploy a Persian Gulf surveillance capability into space to provide early warning against an attack from Israel and/or the United States of America. The improved Safir-2 can lift a payload of up to 100 kilograms into Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
