Description: The Basir is a programmable, automated, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by the Islamic Republic of Iran capable of gathering samples from�areas contaminated with�chemical materials and keep an eye on�areas afflicted with�natural disasters. Basir flies according to�the flight plan in�the specified routes and land in�the same take-off point after�ending its mission. Besides, the Basir drone can be armed with a variety of weapons to�be used for�other missions such as�urban warfare, reconnaissance and surveillance missions. The existence of this new UAV was reported by the Iranian press in April 2015.
