Description: The United States Air Force E-11A, also known as BD-700-1A10, is an overhead communications-relay platform equipped with Northrop Grumman's Battlefield Airborne Communications Node, or BACN, operating in Southwest Asia. The BACN system allows disparate battlefield communications systems to share data. The E-11A is based on the Bombardier Global Express XRS business jet. The US Air Force granted the military designation E-11A on September 19, 2011.
