Description: The Orion is a reconnaissance unmanned aircraft system (UAS) developed by Kronshtadt, formerly Transas, for the Russian Ministry of Defense under a contract signed in October 2015. The drone will stay airborne for over 24 hours at an altitude of up to 8,000 meters. The flight testing program for the Orion UAS started in May 2016 at the Gromov Flight Research Institute at the Moscow region.
