Description: 9M32, also known as the SA-7/SA-N-5 Grail, is a man-portable, shoulder-launched surface-to-air missile (SAM) system designed to engage aircraft flying at low altitude. It features passive infrared guidance and an explosive warhead. 9M32 was the first generation of Soviet man-portable SAM systems. It was sold to several countries worldwide while China, Pakistan and Egypt developed enhanced versions known as HN-5, ANZA and Ayn as Saqr respectively.

The 9M32 missile is intended to engage targets flying below 4,500 meters of altitude and at subsonic speed. The ANZA series missiles developed by Pakistan feature greater range of up to 15 kilometers. 9M32 missiles can be diverted from their intended targets by the sun or heat sources on the ground. Infrared countermeasures and other decoys are highly effective against 9M32 missile seeker.
