Description: The 9M38 is a medium-range, Surface-to-Air missile designed to engage aerodynamic targets as well as short range ballistic missiles. It features high maneuverability and a semi-active radar guidance system. The 9M38 missile has been designed to engage targets flying at a maximum speed of Mach 4 from any direction and targets flying at 15 meters of altitude.

The 9M38 missile, also known as the 9M317?, is employed on the Russian Buk-M1, Buk-M2, Shtil, and Yohz SAM systems.
