Description: BAMSE is a high speed, highly maneuverable, surface to air missile embedded into the RBS23 BAMSE air defense system. The intercept range is in excess of 15 km and the maximum intercept altitude is 10,000 meters.

The BAMSE missile carries a proximity and an impact fuze and its warhead has lethal effects on all types of aerial targets. The target must be continuously illuminated by the fire control radar to guide the BAMSE missile and achieve a successful interception.
