Type 03
Description:
The Type 03 is a medium-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) designed by Mitsubishi Electric as part of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) Type 03 area air defense system. It has been designed to be launched vertically with inertial mid-course guidance, mid-course trajectory corrections and active radar seeker in the terminal phase of the flight. The missile may have a maximum range of approximately 100 kilometers.
