Tactical Support Helicopters

The Tactical Support Helicopters guide includes tactical transport battlefield helicopters (UH-60 BlackHawk, Mi-8 and NH-90); anti-submarine warfare helicopters (Sea Lynx and Sea King); heavyweight transport helicopters (CH-47 Chinook and Mi-26); and search and rescue and special operations helicopters (MH-60 and MH-53).

Mainly tactical support helicopters provide equipment and troops transport to the the theater of operations. In addition these aircraft provide other key capabilities such as battlefield Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR); anti-submarine warfare and mine clearance.
