Description: The BattleHawk is an armed variant of Black Hawk helicopter featuring integrated electronic warfare suite and a comprehensive collection of armaments to perform armed reconnaissance and attack missions. Sikorsky will provide BattleHawk either as a new build aircraft or as a retrofit kit to existing Black Hawk helicopters. All in, BattleHawk will offer a combination of firepower and medium lift that is not available on current dedicated utility and attack helicopters. Sikorsky Aircraft launched the BattleHawk program at Farnborough air show in July 2006.

Standard equipment for the multi-mission BattleHawk include an integrated helmet display, C4I system, missiles, rockets, and a turreted gun. In addition to the armed reconnaissance and attack roles, the new helicopter will be suitable for troop transport, search and rescue, and disaster relief.
