Description: The UH-60M is an upgraded derivative of combat-proven UH-60 helicopter. The US Army plans to modernize up to 1,200 existing UH-60 helicopters to the M configuration within the next 20 years. There are no plans for an eventual replacement of UH-60 helicopters through 2025.

The HH-60M is a variant intended to conduct combat search and rescue (CSAR) missions.

Wednesday, December 12, 2007 US Army and US Navy joint five-year contract for the procurement of 537 H-60 helicopters from Sikorsky plus options for an additional 263 aircraft, spares, and kits. The firm order aircraft were valued at $7.4 billion. With all options realized, the contract value could reach $11.6 billion. The contract comprises UH-60M, HH-60M, MH-60R and MH-60S helicopters with the aircraft produced to be determine year-by-year. Deliveries are scheduled between 2007 and 2012. The contract was signed on December 12, 2007.

Wednesday, November 15, 2006 US Army modification contract valued at $237 million and awarded to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation to provide Black Hawk Helicopters and Conversion Delta for UH-60L to UH-60M and UH-60L to HH-60M. The contract was initiated October 4, 2000, and will expire May 30, 2009. Work will be performed in Stratford, Connecticut.
