Description: The UH-60M is an upgraded derivative of combat-proven UH-60 helicopter. The US Army plans to modernize up to 1,200 existing UH-60 helicopters to the M configuration within the next 20 years. There are no plans for an eventual replacement of UH-60 helicopters through 2025.

The MH-60M is a variant intended to support US Army special operations missions. In August 2005, General Electric's CT7-8B-5 turboshaft engine rated at 2,600-shaft-horsepower (shp) was selected to power the newest US Army Special Operations aircraft.
