Description:
The Aladin is a lightweight, electric-powered, small, short range, unmanned airborne reconnaissance system that can remain on station for a 30 minutes duration at ranges of 5 kilometers. The aircraft equipped with TV and Infrared sensors can be ready for hand-launch in just five minutes. Only two men are required to operate the Aladin airborne surveillance system. Aladin will fly a pre-programmed flight route with updates coming from the operator. Recovery is executed by a landing bag system that switches on at 40 meters altitude.
The Aladin UAV system has been ordered by the German Army. It is currently deployed in Afghanistan within the ISAF gathering Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance information in support of German and allied ground forces.
