Description: The Bird Eye 500, formerly called 'Spy There', is a member of the low-cost mini-UAV family developed and manufactured by Israel's IAI/MALAT. It provides real time day/night imagery data for law enforcement and over-the-hill reconnaissance and surveillance. Typically, the mini-UAV operates over an area 10 km by 10 km (100 square kilometers).

The payload consists of a video camera weighing up to 850 grams, electric propulsion ensures low cost of operation and maintenance as well as low acoustic signature, the flight is fully automated with 'in-flight' way point control, the launch can be done throwing the aircraft manually (hand launch) or by bungee launch. It is available for both military and civilian customers.

The Bird Eye 500 mini-UAV suitable for tactical reconnaissance can be operated by a two-man crew in support of small fighting units. The aircraft is carried into two suitcase-sized containers, assembled and ready to service within several minutes.
