Description: The Mariner, a variant of Predator B UAV, is a multipurpose aircraft suited for long endurance maritime and border surveillance missions. It has been equipped with color and Infrared cameras plus a surface search radar to conduct surveillance in day/night, and adverse weather conditions.

The Mariner can operate continuously on mission up to 50 hours, while providing real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance imagery. Internally this aircraft can carry up to 800-lb of payloads, and up to 3,000-lb of external payloads.

General Atomics competes for the US Navy's BAMS (Broad Area Maritime Surveillance) contract with the Mariner.

The Mariner has been selected by the US Navy, US Coast Guard, and Homeland Security organization to monitor the oceans areas of the world and maritime approaches to the United States.
