Description: The Nishant is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle developed by Indian Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO). The Nishant UAV is launched by a catapult and recovered using a parachute. By mid-2008, the UAV system had completed pre-qualification trials and was expected to enter qualifications tests with the Indian Armed Forces before the end of 2008.
