Description: The Czech Republic's VTULaPVO Sojka is a tactical unmanned air vehicle designed for day and night reconnaissance missions providing real time infrared/CCD-TV imagery to the ground control station. The Sojka reconnaissance system consists of a ground control station, rocket-assisted launcher, transport container, off-road recovery vehicle, and 3-to-4 air vehicle which must be assembled before flight. A crew of two-man can set up the Sojka air vehicle for launch in approximately 15 minutes. The system can be mounted on a variety of vehicles according to the customer requirements.

The air vehicle's modular airframe is made of composite material. The payload is also of modular conception allowing for quick replacement. It is powered by AR 74-1230 Wankel type pusher engine supplied by UAV Engines Ltd which allows a top speed of 200+ kph and a maximum flight endurance of four hours. Using its GPS/INS navigation system , the Sojka UAV can follow a pre-programmed flight path or can be re-programmed while in-flight. The air vehicle can be recovered via a parachute or using landing skids on runways or a similar surface.
