Description: The Skeldar V-150 is a cost-effective rotary-wing VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) developed by Saab for both military and civil applications. The basic system consists of two VTOL UAVs, a control station, EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared), SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar), and/or EW (Electronic Warfare) suite payloads. Its primary roles are target acquisition and designation, surveillance, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare. Saab expects the Skeldar V-150 to achieve operational capability in 2007.
