Description: The 5P85 is a family of missile launch vehicles associated with the S-300 long-range air defense systems developed by the former Soviet Union in the 1970s. These 5P85 platforms serve as Transporter, Erector and Launcher (TEL) vehicles. The first version of the 5P85 (5P85ME) was introduced in 1978 in support of the S-300 missile system. The 5P85 missile launcher vehicle can be provided on wheeled or tracked chassis. The S-300V missile systems employ tracked chassis as part of their capability to be deployed almost anywhere including extreme cold climates.

The 5P85TE2 is a 10x10 wheeled missile launching vehicle associated with the S-400 long-range air defense system. The 5P85SE2 is a missile re-supply vehicle. Each 5P85TE2 vehicle can transport and fire vertically four 48N6E2 or 48N6E3 surface-to-air missiles; two 40N6E very long-range surface-to-air missiles; or 12 9M96E or 9M96E2 high maneuverable missiles. The 9P85TE2 also accepts a combination of 48N6E and 9M96E missiles. Each 48N6E missile launcher can be replaced by three 9M96E missiles.
