Description: The AVibras Viaturas Blindadas Leves (AV-VBL), also known as AV-BL, is a 12-ton class all-terrain, high mobility, modular, multi-purpose armored vehicle derived from UNIMOG 4x4 off-road platform. The vehicle can be transported by a single C-130 Hercules aircraft and shows excellent performance in cross-country, desert, sand or mud, as well as under extreme environmental conditions. Typically within the Brazilian Armed Forces, the AV-VBL vehicles are deployed in support of the ASTROS II rocket artillery system.

The AV-VCC is an armed version of the AV-VBL tactical vehicle designed to provide command and control at the regiment and battalion level. The vehicle features a central tyre inflation system (CTIS); 4x4 drive; high mobility in all terrain; ballistic protection up to 7,62mm; GPS-based navigation system with optional inertial navigation system; digital maps with satellite imagery; real-time mission management using radio and GPS; two or three levels or radio communications; and command and control (C2) capability at the regiment and battalion level.
