Description: The Amarok M is a 3.5 ton class 4x4 light multi-purpose vehicle (LMPV) developed by Rheinmentall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) to deliver outstanding off- and on-road mobility, flexibility and reliability. The Amarok M is based on commercial off the shelf (COTS) technologies emphasizing modularity and ergonomic design. The vehicle can be reconfigured rapidly to meet the customers demands performing a wide range of missions. The spacious interior allows to seat up to four fully equipped soldiers along with enough room for rifle racks, a radio system with handsets and additional equipment. The 3-ton basic Amarok M vehicle configuration carries a payload of 1.37-ton. RMMV unveiled its Amarok M vehicle at the Eurosatory 2012 exhibition in Paris, France.

The Amarok M is powered by a diesel or petrol Euro 5 emissions compliant engine developing 90 to 132 KW of power and a choice of eight-gear automatic or six-gear standard transmission. The vehicle can achieve a top speed on-road of 180 km/h powered by a 180-hp engine. The loading area varies from 2.5 (double cab) to 3.57 square meters (basic cab). The chassis can be modified for a variety of missions such as communications, command vehicle, special operations, military police patrol vehicle etc. The Amarok M also can be equipped with a medium or heavy machine gun or automatic grenade launcher.
