Description: The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) High Mobility Vehicle (HMV), also known as Sturm, is a 4x4, high mobility, utility vehicle very similar to the United States HMMWV Humvee. The Toyota-built HMV can transport as many as 10-man over ranges of . Powered by a four-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine rated at 150-hp can achieve a top speed of 105 kph on road. The vehicle is well suited for special operations missions and is the carrier for other several applications for the JGSDF such as Type 96 multi-purpose missile system and Type 93 air defense system.
