Description: The International MaxxPro is a mine resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle selected by the United States Marine Corps for its MRAP Category I program. The Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) contract valued at $623 million was awarded on May 31, 2007. The LRIP contract calls for the delivery of 1,200 MaxxPro vehicles by the end of February 2008.

The MaxxPro is powered by a turbocharged diesel engine and features a V-shaped hull. The vehicle has been designed to provide support in convoy operations. Moreover, the vehicle provides enhanced survivability and mobility of troops operating in a hazardous fire area against known threats such as small arms fire, rocket propelled grenades, and improvised explosive devices.
