The vehicle family offers STANAG 4569 protection even against improvised explosive devices (IED), side blasts and anti-tank land mines anywhere under the hull or under a wheel. The Mbombe vehicles featuring outstanding protection, mobility and firepower are supplied in 4x4 (Mbombe 4) and 6x6 (Mbombe 6) chassis. The vehicles are equipped with independent suspension all-round and powerful drive train to ensure outstanding mobility characteristics.

The Mbombe 4 can serve as an armored personnel carrier (APC), armored fighting vehicle mounting a heavy machine gun, automatic cannon or a remote weapon station. The vehicle crew consists of driver, commander, gunner and seven fully equipped infantrymen. The crew protection is enhanced through anti-blast seats. It has a maximum road speed of 150km/h and delivers excellent cross-country performance independent suspension.
