Description: The VLRA (Vehicule de Liaison de Reconnaissance et d'Appui / Liaison, Reconnaissance and Support Vehicle) 4x4 is a family of all wheel drive military trucks developed by ACMAT and capable of carrying payloads ranging from 1.5-ton to 3.5-ton. The VLRA 4x4 is available in the following roles: command and communications vehicle (TPK 420 VCT); multipurpose tactical vehicles (TPK 425 STL/SH and TPK 436 STL/SH); breakdown logistic vehicle (TPK 420 SL7 and TPK 436 SCM); personnel, cargo or weapon system carriers (TPK 415 SM3/FSP, TPK 420 SM3, TPK 420 STL and TPK 420 PMB mortar carrier); and ambulances van (TPK 425 SAM, TPK 430 F, TPK 432 SB and TPK 433 SB).

The VLRA 4x4 as multipurpose tactical vehicle can carry a load of 3.5-ton over ranges of 500 km to 1,000 km depending on the number of fuel tanks (1 or 2 x 180-l). The vehicle's cab accommodates a three-man crew. The VLRA 4x4 is powered by a 6 cylinder Perkins diesel engine rated at 145-hp. VLRA vehicles are air transportable and can be air dropped by tactical transport aircraft such as C-130 and C-160. The TPK 420 BL4 is a new version featuring a new forward-cab design and improved armor.
