Description: BAE Systems Land Systems is a 4x4 light armored vehicle intended to provide support to rapid deployment operations conducted by airborne and special operations troops. It is suitable for applications such as troop carrier, weapons platform and reconnaissance vehicle. The South African Army also calls this vehicle the Hornet. Its lightweight design allows for transportation by both rotary- or fixed-wing aircraft. A single C-130 sized aircraft can transport as many as four Wasp armored vehicles.
