Description: The F17 is a proven submarine and ship-launched torpedo designed to engage submarines and surface ships. The F17 torpedo is currently in service in the French and export customer navies. The F17Mod2B is the latest derivative of proven F17 torpedo and features counter-countermeasures.

DCN was awarded a 33 million Euros contract to sustain the F17/2 and L5/4 torpedo weapon systems in the French Navy in March 2005. The contract was expected to complete by 2009.
