Description: The SET-65S is an autonomous (fire & forget) anti-submarine warfare (ASW) torpedo designed for launch from both surface ships and submarines. It comprises an electric propulsion system, self-activated battery, an electronic countermeasures (ECM) resistant active/passive homing head, proximity and impact fuses, a High Explosive (HE) warhead, and a control unit. Cruising at 40 knots the SET-65K torpedo has a maximum range of 16,000 meters and can engage submerged threats ranging from 27 meters to 400 meters in depth. Its homing head has a maximum detection range of 1,500 meters. The SET-65K torpedoes are transported/stored in nitrogen-filled sealed containers.
