Description:
155 TR F1 is a 155mm 40-caliber towed howitzer capable of firing rounds at ranges of 24 km or 30 km using rocket assisted projectiles. Its 155mm cannon is the same utilized on the 155 AUF 1 self-propelled howitzer also developed for the French Army. 155 TR F1 field howitzer requires a crew of eight. The maximum rate of fire is six rounds per minute and two rounds per minute in the sustained rate. The French Army deployed this weapon within its infantry regiments. At least two international customers purchased the 155 TR F1 towed howitzer.
