Description:
The M139 is a 155mm 39-caliber towed howitzer designed to be C-130 cargo aircraft and CH-47 helicopter transportable thanks to its lightweight design. It is a derivative of the proven M114 towed howitzer featuring an extended range of 32,000 meters.
The M139 has been ordered by the Dutch Army. It has been deployed replacing the M114 towed field howitzer under the M114/39 designation.
