Description:
The Bionix multirole Armored Vehicle was designed by Singapore Technologies to meet the requirements of Singapore's Armed Forces for an M113 replacement. It features improved modular armor for troops and vehicle survivability as well as technology insertion capability for future growth.
The Bionix 25 features a 25mm turret-mounted gun and 3 7.62mm machine guns to perform infantry fire support missions even at night thanks to an Infrared sensor package. It can accommodate up to 10 soldiers, 3 crew and 7 passengers.
The Army of Singapore awarded Singapore Technologies a $600 million contract for Bionix procurement. Bionix multirole armored vehicles deliveries started in early 1998.
