Description: The Ivchenko-Progress D-436 engine family, based on the D-36 engine, has been designed to power twin-engine short-range turbojet passenger aircraft. Its basic design comprises 14 modules. The D-436 engines feature low fuel consumption, high environmental safety standards, low operating costs and longer service life than previous engines powering twin-engine short range aircraft. The Tu-334, Be-200, Yak-42D-100 and An-148 aircraft are powered by the D-436 engine family.

The D-436TP is a maritime version of D-436 engine family designed to power the Beriev Be-200 amphibious aircraft with the powerplants mounted above wing. The D-436TP design focuses on mitigating corrosion effects at sea climate. The engine entered flight tests in June 1995 and was awarded type certification in 2000.
