Description: PS-90 is a turbofan engine designed to power large transport aircraft such as Russian Il-76 Candid or its tanker derivative Il-78 Midas. It features low fuel consumption and high thrust output of approximately 35,000 pounds.

In 2005, Jordan ordered two Il-76 tactical transport aircraft powered by fuel efficient PS-90A-76 turbofan engines.

Wednesday, August 17, 2005 Kingdom of Jordan agreement with the Russian Arms Export Agency, Rosoboronexport, for the delivery of two Il-76MF military transport aircraft powered by PS-90A-76 engines. The deal was signed at the Moscow Air Show MAKS 2005 on 17 August 2005.
