Description:
The PW4000 100-inch fan engines have been developed specially to power the Airbus A330-200 and -300 twin-engine, wide-body airliners. The engine family is certified for thrusts ranging from 64,500 to 68,600 pounds. PW4000 100-inch engines have outstanding performance, reliability and durability.
The PW4164 engine, rated at 64,500 pounds of thrust, entered service in 1994 powering the Airbus A330 airliner as a part of three engine types available for this aircraft. Approximately 50% of the engines powering the A330 jetliner all over the world are PW4000-94.
