Description: The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW800 is a family of 10,000-lb of thrust engines designed to power business aircraft. The program was officially launched in February 2006 powering the Cessna Citation Columbus intercontinental range business jet which is scheduled to enter service by 2014 powered by two PW810 engines. The PW800 family of environmentally friendly engines feature reductions in fuel burn, emissions and noise thanks to the latest proven advances in material, aerodynamic and design technologies.

The PW810 engine will offer higher reliability and thrust growth capability. The PW810 model powering Citation Columbus jet will produce 8,830 pounds of thrust with an outstanding fuel efficiency in its class. The engine also incorporates advanced fan, compressor, turbine and low-emissions Talon combustion systems. Pratt & Whitney Canada expects that its newest engine will surpass ICAO emissions standards by up to 50 percent for nitrous oxide and 35 percent for carbon monoxide emissions. Noise levels will be well below Stage IV standards.
