Description: The ASDS (Advanced SEAL Delivery System) is a manned mini-submarine capable of delivering SEAL personnel and their equipment clandestinely in a high threat environment. It must be transported to the delivery area by host submarine which also will recover the ASDS once SEAL mission completed.

The ASDS will be transported by the SSN-772 USS Greeneville, SSN-766 USS Charlotte, and 4-Ohio class converted to SSGN submarines. Los Angeles class submarines will carry one ASDS and the SSGNs will carry up to two ASDS mini-submarines.
