Description: The Double Eagle is a modular, low life cycle cost, remotely operated vehicle for mine hunting missions developed by Saab Underwater Systems. It is equipped with a high performance detection and classification sonar. Besides, the Double Eagle unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) can accommodate a relocation sonar and a mine disposal charge. Its modularity and open architecture enable the replacement of main sub-systems facilitating upgrades, repair and reconfigurations. In addition to the mine disposal role, this UUV can perform maritime security and offshore industry missions.

The Double Eagle Sarov is a further version of Double Eagle retaining the performance of MK II/MK III vehicles and featuring an autonomous capability replacing the remote control system. The Double Eagle Sarov can carry out autonomous missions and re-dock to the tether in the sea.
