Description: The Fury is an Unmanned Autonomous System (UAS) developed by BAE Systems in partnership with Thales UK to fit into the armed reconnaissance and close air support aircraft role. The aircraft is fitted with latest generation avionics, new stores management system and proven high accurate weapon guidance system. The Fury shares a similar airframe and some components with the HERTI surveillance UAS, also developed by BAE Systems, but is the result of a distinct military development program. All in, the Fury is affordable and reliable and features a small logistic footprint as well as low operator workload.

So far, BAE Systems and Thales UK have completed static tests involving the UAS firing missiles to fixed targets and target acquisition and tracking capabilities using an airborne Fury. The Lightweight Multi-role Missile (LMM) provided by Thales UK has been selected as the primary air-to-ground weapon for the Fury UAS. The program's next step will see the guided launch of a live weapon from an airborne Fury vehicle. BAE Systems unveiled the Fury program in June 2008.
