Description: The Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) FLW is a family of low weight remote controlled weapon station designed for installation on a wide variety of armored vehicles ranging from the Dingo all protected vehicle to the Boxer wheeled armored personnel carrier. These weapon station stations can be equipped with either machine guns (7.62mm or 12.7mm) or automatic grenade launchers (AGLs). Its gyro stabilization system allows very accurate and controlled weapon firing, even while moving through rough terrain at high speed.

The FLW 200 remote weapon station, also referred to as heavy FLW, weighs less than 200 kilograms and has been selected for installation on Germany's Dingo 2 and Boxer armored vehicles.

Friday, July 04, 2008 German Armed Forces order for 54 Dingo 2 all-protected vehicles plus options for an additional 44 vehicles. Fifty Dingo 2s will be delivered as patrol and backup vehicles and the remaining four will serve as Dingo 2 GSI Battle Damage Repair vehicles. The 44 options are all Dingo 2 GSIs. The contract also included 230 FLW 100 light remote weapon station and 190 FLW 200 heavy weapon stations. The deal was announced on July 4, 2008.
