China Aviation Supplies Import and Export Group Corporation (CASGC) General Terms Agreement (GTA) for the purchase of 150 A320 family aircraft and a Letter of Intent (LOI) for 20 A350XWB aircraft signed with Airbus in Beijing on October 26, 2006. In parallel, Airbus signed the Framework Agreement with a Chinese Consortium comprising Tianjin Free Trade Zone (TJFTZ), China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I) and China Aviation Industry Corporation II (AVIC II) in Beijing on the establishment of an A320 Family Final Assembly Line in China. The assembly line should be operational in early 2009 and fully operational in 2011 with the production rate reaching 4 aircraft per month. CASGC will take delivery of 15 A320s; Shenzhen Airlines 28 A320s, Sichuan Airlines 18 A320s, Hainan Airlines 13 A320s, Spring Airlines and Juneyao Airlines six A320 family aircraft respectively. Totaling 86 aircraft out of 150. Sichuan Airlines selected the V2500 engine to power 18 A320s on November 4, 2008. The V2500 engine contract was valued at $700 million.

Brazilian carrier TAM placed an order for eight Airbus A350-900s plus options on seven airplanes on 16 June 2005, . The final agreement for 10 firm order Airbus A350-900s plus five options was signed on December 21, 2005. Aircraft deliveries were scheduled to start at the end of 2012.
