Azerbaijan Airlines order for three Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners and two Boeing 737-900ERs announced on February 23, 2007. Azerbaijan Airlines selected the General Electric GEnx engine to power its three 787 aircraft. The five aircraft were valued at approximately $609 million at list prices. One Boeing 787-8 was converted into a 767 on August 7, 2008.

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) order for two Boeing 737-900ERs and two 767-300ERs valued at $449 million. One of the 767s is a substitution for a previously ordered 787. The deal was announced on August 7, 2008. AZAL selected the General Electric CF6-80C2 engine to power its two 767s on December 8, 2008. The CF6 engine deal was valued at $40 million with deliveries due in 2010.
